Role as an NPC:

Devil seems to be one of the 2 closest non-family members to The Elder Bat, often carrying out tasks for him that seem to come off as sketchy. Devil seems to both respect and fear The Elder Bat and won't question anything he requests of him when given a task to do. Devil and Deacon both handle the passing of Cloakats on the island. Devil prepares them for the burial of their choice, while Deacon executes the process of helping them pass on and laying them to rest.

Devil runs services in his shop where he can offer Cloakat rides to and from the mainland as well as banning, binding, or cursing evil Cloakat accordingly. He seems to come off scary or goofy most of the time, which makes one question why the Elder Bat would choose him as a righthand man of all bats. Some Cloakat who go to his shop sometimes come out with bite marks or sometimes disappear altogether, making Cloakat question what he actually DOES in that shop of his. Even with all of these concerning signs, no one has actually confronted Devil or The Elder Bat about what all of Devil's duties actually are.
