A term used for a creature born into the world with one or more parents being a Distorted in the first place.
Ashborn are much stronger than ashfallen and therefore much more dangerous. However, they have a lot more control over their powers and are slightly less likely to be murderous.
On rare occasion, the Ashborn can be born with a second personality. The second personality is generally suppressed or comes in the form of compulsively violent thoughts, but on even rarer cases, this personality can slowly take over the main personality and become the new main personality of the other one.

Both Ashborn and Ashfallen can be hard to tell if they are infected at first glance as they have the ability to more or less conceal their infection and look like the host/natural species, but can transform fully or partly to what is most convenient for them.

A term used for a creature specifically taken host by a Distortion. Ashfallen are basically now a dead variant of the creature now being controlled by the Distorted.
Ashfallen are more bloodthirsty than an Ashborn as they have less control over their thoughts and powers. They are much more likely to attack someone unprompted.
On rare occasion, an Ashfallen can still have control over their body either fully or partially. Generally more than anything, the host is either very suppressed by the Distortion or gone completely.

Both Ashborn and Ashfallen can be hard to tell if they are infected at first glance as they have the ability to more or less conceal their infection and look like the host/natural species, but can transform fully or partly to what is most convenient for them. Ashfallen can sometimes emit a sort of "aura" that can be detected by certain species, so sometimes they can be found out by this power level of aura alone. They can sometimes mask this aura well to hide from prey until they wish to strike.

Cloakid is a term you use to refer to very young Cloakat. These are generally Cloakat in a tween to teen area of age.

A term used for a species of demon with parasitic tendencies that are common in the world of Cloakats. This can be used as an umbrella term for both Ashborn and Ashfallen.
Distortions, themselves, do not come from the natural realm. Their origins are still shrouded in mystery as well. Distortions can sometimes emit a sort of "aura" that can be detected by certain species, so sometimes they can be found out by this power level of aura alone.

An infected Cloakat can be called a Distortion, or a Distorted Cloakat.

A Pup is what you'd call a Cloakat who is freshly born, an infant, or toddler. These are Cloakat that are AT or Younger than toddler age.
