The temperatures seem to never get warmer here making it popular for ice fishing.
Folks will also often use this location to harvest fish and ice to distribute throughout the island. A lot of ice-elemental Cloakat seem to love it here as it barely goes above −40° F/−40° C. The mountainside houses make it a picture-esk location for travelers. Most of the folks living here are hard-working and base their living here on the goods they work to get and distribute. The huge ice shelves here seem to trickle out into the sea where they eventually become huge spires. many brinicles cover the floors below these spires, making it unsafe to live this far out for those cold-blooded Cloakat who live below. Far out on the ocean is an aledgedIce castle that is seemingly only visible whenever Aurora Borealis is present. Some say it is a mirage, but others swear they've visited this castle, itself. Hal's Shelf is a rather quiet area overall, however, many Claokat live here to fish, do logging, or the like. It is a quiet, cold, and space location that gets people docking in and out of its shores daily.
