Traits
Oozing Parts (Uncommon)
Some Cloakat might drip or ooze something related to their body. Sometimes a tail could be water and drip or be made of slime, etc.
Etched Bones (Uncommon)
A Cloakat who has different etched or intricate patterns on any part of their body considered bone, keratin, or enamel. (Bones, teeth, claws, horns, etc.).
In dark locations, the etchings of the Cloakat's body will glow. They seem to be more vibrant in the month of May. The Cloakat does not need the glowing trait to have this trait work unless you want other parts of its body to glow as well.
This is a story-related trait.
Edible Parts and Textures (Uncommon)
Any body part made of or represented of a food substance. This also includes Cloaks/Clothes that visually look like food.
Slime Parts and Textures (Uncommon)
Any part of the body can be made of Slime. You need this trait to make things like the claws or teeth to look more transparent, this or the Crystal trait. This also includes Cloaks/Clothes that visually look slime-like. Cannot be used to mimic GHOST trait.
Piñata Fur (Uncommon)
The fur is layered and boxy like that of a piñata. This affects the tail fur type if wanted/needed.
Scaled Skin (Uncommon)
Speckled scales on skin or all of skin is scaley. Usually for dragon/aquatic-themed Cloakat. This can affect other parts of the body like ears, tail, etc. This affects the tail fur type if wanted/needed.
Rose Eared (Uncommon)
Reference "Dogs with rose ears" for a good example of this. The Cloakat can have one or more limp ears in any pattern or combination of which ear is limp (Is combinable with the multi-ears trait) You can have one, both, or more than the 2 standard ears be limp if you like. Side note: Having "limp ears" is generally uncommon with Cloakats. You can also give this to a Cloakat to give them floppy ears if you want floppy ears to look like a dog's ears so long as they still follow the ear rules of having the lined pattern and tragus underneath them. This trait requires the ear tips to remain pointy as since if theyre rounded, they can sometimes replicate event trait: rabbit-like ears.
Jester Ears (Uncommon)
The ears of the Cloakat are either long ears curl to the side or curl back behind the Cloakat. These can be any kind of bat ear, so long as you include the lines and tragus. Cannot be used to mimic Rabbit Ear trait unless used with said trait. Can use "accessories" trait to add bells to the tips of ears like that of a usual Jester's gimmick would have.
Multicolored Teeth (Uncommon)
The teeth are more than one solid color. Can be a gradient, or each tooth can be one or more colors each.
Cannot be used to make iridescent/metal/crystal teeth. This would need the correct OVERARCHING trait to be used.
Nosferatu Fangs (Uncommon)
Teeth resembling those of Nosferatu. Can alternatively be used to make rodent/buck teeth.
Credit to Lagomorph for the idea!
Scarecrow Mouth (Uncommon)
The mouth of the Cloakat is partially or fully stitched shut.
Burs on Tongue (Uncommon)
The tongue has small nubs or burs meant as extra feelers/taste receptors going down the center of the tongue as well as the sides.
Gel Claw Texture (Uncommon)
Claws that appear to be somewhat translucent or fully see-through in appearance. They can look like a smooth glass or gel-like texture.
Jagged-cut Claw Shape (Uncommon)
Claws that appear to have a more jagged shape, similar to cut gems, or a knife-cut potato.
Skinny Tail (Uncommon)
A thinner or more skinny tail. The tail must still be somewhat fat in the middle with a fox-like shape.
Curled Tail (Uncommon)
The tail is curled up like a Pomeranian dog's tail. Usually, the tail bones have natural bends in them that make this curled feature permanent for the Cloakat when it traditionally is not normal for a standard Cloakat.
It can't be forced to uncurl without springing back to the curled shape for too long. The tail needs to be long regardless. It cannot be tiny.
Docked Tail (Uncommon)
The tail seems to be half the length it usually is, whereas a Cloakat's normal tail is generally twice its size in height. This is a length between NUB and STANDARD size. Can be compared to a full-sized canine tail. This does not mean that the tail is missing/injured, it just means that it is shorter than average size, but much longer than the nub trait. It is not to be flat at its tip, but still tapered to a point, as per the norm of this species' tail!
